No insurance, out of network, or just want a faster path to a diagnosis? We offer transparent, self-pay pricing for personalized, evidence-based rheumatologic care — in person or by telehealth, anywhere in Texas.
Medicare patients: please call us before scheduling. Lonestar Rheumatology is a non-participating Medicare provider. Federal law generally requires us to submit claims to Medicare for covered services, so the self-pay rates above usually don’t apply to Medicare patients. If you have Medicare and want to pay for your care yourself, you must pay in full and ask us in writing not to bill Medicare.
If you have a Medicare Advantage plan, different rules may apply.

Telehealth is available anywhere within Texas. Video visits are held to the same standard as in-office care and are a convenient option for follow-ups, medication management, and lab review.
Right to a Good Faith Estimate
You have the right to receive a "Good Faith Estimate" explaining how much your medical care will cost.
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don't have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
- You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any nonemergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
- Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
- If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
- Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

Cash pay for procedures
If your treatment plan calls for an in-office procedure, cash pricing is available for the following, quoted individually based on the joint or medication involved:
Steroid injections
Joint, tendon, and bursa injections for flares and localized inflammation, priced separately from your visit fee.
Biologic infusions
In-office IV biologic therapy for eligible conditions, administered in our infusion suite. Ask us for current cash pricing

Self-pay pricing applies to patients without governmental insurance or those who prefer to pay directly. We accept credit or debit card only for payment; we do not currently accept cash or checks. Procedure and infusion pricing varies by treatment and will be provided before your visit. For medical emergencies, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
